THE MONTESSORI WAY

Children have a natural drive to learn and work, and the Montessori classroom is set up to help encourage that desire.  The classroom is a prepared space where children can do purposeful and targeted work that they choose based on their current development.  Children grow at their own pace and rhythm under the supervision of an adult who can help direct and guide their activities so the child experiences success and challenge at the same time.  Work in the Montessori classroom addresses Math, English, Geography, and Science along with practical life skills.  The inherent flexibility and individualized nature of the Montessori classroom guarantees that all children will find meaningful work no matter their ability, learning style, or social maturity.   Montessori classrooms are designed to have a 3 year age mix so that the older children learn how to care for their younger peers and the younger children learn from watching their older classmates.  --Association Montessori International

At Agape Garden Montessori School, our mission is to provide a Christian Montessori environment that meets the standards of Dr. Maria Montessori and the Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepard for every child in our care.  We strive to allow the child to build himself to his highest potential physically, cognitively, socially, and spiritually.
